get lost in storytelling, explore your wild side and Become part of the Magic!
Single ticket £18
Come and sit around the fire in our Great Roundhouse to listen to stories of witches, cunning folk, shape shifters and deep magic from right here on the South Downs and beyond. We invite you to reconnect with your very own wild twin, the one that gets neglected in our ordinary lives and yearns to be free - the one most of us left behind in childhood!
Visit Butser as the sun goes down to meet storyteller and author Bernadette Russell. Gather around the fire to hear funny, playful, and mischievous stories. You will leave with an invitation to tell the stories you have heard and be part of reviving that most ancient and beautiful of human creativity - oral storytelling.
Bernadette has told stories at many venues including the National Theatre, Royal Albert Hall and Imagine Children's Festival at the Southbank Centre. She loves to tell stories outside best of all - in woods, on river banks and beaches, honouring our oldest stories and revisiting them for the 21st century.
There will be a bar selling locally produced cider, mead and a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Hot drinks and snacks will also be available to be purchased from our shop.
