Craft a pair of stunning Celtic rings based on real finds from archaeology! Learn the fundamentals of jewellery-making and silversmithing on this day course led by one of the UK’s leading historical metalworkers.
Taught by Neil Burridge, master historical metalworker and museum replica-maker, you’ll learn to work with silver wire and strip, to anneal and shape metal, and to recreate an ancient design of your choice using punches or engraving. You’ll also learn more about the origins of these designs, and the methods, techniques, and styles of ancient jewellery making.

Included in your ticket
Entrance to the farm, a full day’s tuition and expertise, and all the tools, materials, and metal necessary to craft your two historical rings in sterling silver.
This workshop is suitable for ages 14+. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying adults do not need workshop tickets themselves but are required to pay the site entrance fee.
Please wear sensible clothing and footwear for this workshop. Lunch is not included, although sandwiches (subject to availability), hot and cold drinks, and snacks are sold in our gift shop. You’re also welcome to bring a picnic if you prefer!
