Enjoy a relaxed, sensory-friendly visit to Butser Ancient Farm
Discounted tickets available for those struggling or financially insecure.
Join us for a relaxed and quiet day at the farm, with a lower capacity to ensure you can escape the crowds. Explore our ancient buildings at your own pace, soak in the beautiful atmosphere of the South Downs National Park, relax by the fire in one of our roundhouses, and discover the therapeutic effects of petting our goats!
Our usual activities will not be running. For more information on the sensory experience of a visit to Butser, please see our accessibility page.
Times are tough and we want to help where we can, so we are offering 20% off your tickets to anyone who is struggling or facing financial insecurity. Just book your tickets online, and use the code EVERYONE at the checkout. We will never ask you to prove or explain anything; if you feel you need the discount to be able to visit, use it!
However if you’re able to pay full price, please save this discount for others. We are a not-for-profit and rely on ticket sales to stay open, so we are only able to offer a limited number of discounted tickets. This offer only applies to visits on the 9th and 11th May.

DOGS: Please feel free to bring your dogs with you! As this is a quiet day, we would just ask that you be mindful of your fellow visitors when bringing a dog into the farm, and make sure they don’t disturb or upset others.
REFUNDS: If we aren’t able to open the farm on the day of your visit, you will of course be completely refunded. Unfortunately in any other circumstances we aren’t able to offer refunds.
COVID-19: We’re still being careful, and will follow the government advice at the time. We’re a mostly-outdoors site, and encourage people to mask indoors if it makes them more comfortable. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been asked to self-isolate when you’re due to visit, please stay at home and take care of yourself.
