Cook a delicious Iron Age meal over the fire in a Celtic roundhouse!
Tickets £95
Learn to cook the Celtic way! Experience first-hand how delicious ancient recipes can be, and use authentic tools and techniques to create your own Iron Age feast.
Taught by experimental archaeologist and living history practitioner Caroline Nicolay, you’ll cook a variety of Iron Age dishes over the fire in Butser’s great roundhouse. Use natural and foraged ingredients, and learn to make Iron Age cheese, handmade butter, fire-baked flatbreads, as well as a full meal — including dessert! With both meat and vegetarian dishes, there’s something for everyone to try.
