Join a team of young folks from the local community and spend a day learning to care for Butser Ancient Farm. You’ll learn practical and traditional skills as you create wattle fences, plant trees, help make beds for our new Saxon garden, and build a Stone Age shelter, as well as develop valuable life skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Gain confidence, discover new talents, and connect with people of different ages in a supportive and fun environment!

This experience is great for building your CV, showcasing your ability to work outdoors, learn new skills, and tackle challenges. And who knows, it could be the start of a longer journey with Butser, as there may be opportunities to return and get more involved by volunteering for future projects!

We’re delighted to be able to offer this opportunity, generously funded by the East Hampshire District Council as part of the Grow Up scheme. This project is open to residents of East Hampshire aged 13-20.
