welcome in springtime with an ancient celtic celebration!
Single ticket £19.50
Gather around the hearth in a great roundhouse for an unforgettable afternoon of Celtic celebration: storytelling, drumming, and ritual guided by Jonathon Huet, a woodland bard.
Honour the sacred land around us as it wakes from winter slumber, and invoke the protection of Brigid, the Celtic goddess of inspiration, in this ancient Celtic and Gaelic festival. Also known as St Brigid’s Day, Imbolc marks the beginning of spring and was traditionally celebrated at the start of February, halfway between the winter solstice and spring equinox.
On this magical afternoon, you will learn about the origins of this festival and experience Celtic poetry, prose, and drumming, as well as an early spring ritual dedicated to Brigid. Connect to the world around us and to each other in a moment of uplifting community, and prepare for the coming year together.
