Ri Baroche is a writer, musician, performer, theatre maker, and poet based in Hampshire. Their work is largely focused on finding entertaining and accessible ways into unwieldy subjects, and creating interesting sparks and friction between unexpected topics, from quantum physics and gender, to Britney and Beethoven. They’ve been funded three times by Arts Council England to develop and tour new work, focusing on the intersection of seemingly incongruous, big subjects. It’s no surprise that the name Baroche loosely translates from the French as ‘bizarre’, ‘weird’ and ‘unexpected’.
