Learn a million-year-old technology and create one of humankind’s oldest tools!
Tickets £90
Explore the world of flintknapping, a truly ancient craft long pre-dating metalwork, and learn to shape rock into your very own tools!
This immersive day course places you right at the start of human innovation, and is taught by Dr James Dilley, an experimental archaeologist whose replica work can be seen at Stonehenge and the British Museum. Over the course of the day, you’ll gain insight into flint as a material and its significance in prehistory, and through expert guidance and hands-on experience you will learn the ancient techniques used to shape and process flint into tools.
A one-day workshop running on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend. See more available dates here.
