Discover the ancient past on an exclusive tour with our experimental archaeologist
Free for East Hampshire residents — registration essential
Get closer to the past than ever before on this exclusive tour with Butser archaeologist Thérèse Kearns! Discover how we take archaeological evidence from the ground and transform it into real, physical spaces with our award-winning reconstructions, along with the lessons and insights we’ve learned from over 50 years of experiments.
This special two-hour tour lets you explore Butser away from the crowds, and takes you on a journey through time from the Stone Age to the Early Medieval period, with fascinating insights into archaeology, experimentation, and everyday life in the ancient past. Explore the latest research and see first-hand how our open-air research site brings the past to life!
We’re delighted to be able to offer this opportunity, generously funded by the East Hampshire District Council as part of the Grow Up scheme. This event is open to residents of East Hampshire.
