Join us to explore the ancient past and get hands on with history this summer at Butser Ancient Farm as we celebrate our 50th anniversary!
Each day of the summer holidays we will have guided hands-on activities for all the family to learn an ancient skill, plus selected days we will be joined by re-enactors bringing the past to life.
Explore our timeline of homes from the Stone Age, Iron Age, Roman and Saxon periods, plus see our new Iron Age house construction in progress.
We can’t wait to welcome you to our beautiful corner of the South Downs National Park!
From the 25th - 29th July we’ll also be taking part in the Festival of Archaeology with some exciting archaeological experiments you can join in with!
We will be following the latest government guidance in response to Covid-19, and will continue to monitor numbers on site in order to comply with social distancing and give the best experience for all. We are pleased to have been awarded a ‘Good to Go’ certification from Visit England in recognition of the steps we have taken to ensure a safe and enjoyable visit.
