Easter at the Farm

Join us for a cracking Easter holidays at Butser Ancient Farm. We’ve been busy over the winter working on our Stone Age and Saxon house constructions, come and see our progress as you step back in time.
Meet our newborn baby lambs, follow our easter trail and learn a new skill with a hands-on demonstration (selected dates and times)

Wednesday 14th - Ancient Firelighting demonstrations, spinning demonstrations, stone age skills demonstrations, find out more about roman coins and see our Saxon thatching in action.
Thursday 15th - chalk carving, cordage and spinning demonstrations and see our Saxon thatching in action.
Friday 16th - traditional wool braiding activity, chalk carving demonstrations, discover more about Roman coins and see our Saxon thatching in action.
Saturday 17th - meet Saxon and Iron Age re-enactors, discover more about Roman coins, spinning demonstrations and ancient pottery talks and see our Saxon thatching in action.
Sunday 18th - cordage and chalk carving demonstrations and see our Saxon thatching in action.
