Jason will perform live tellings of excerpts from his collection of stories celebrating some of the last dragons. The Dragon Club is a place where, "once every one hundred years a group of 'people' - the same group of 'people' meets". These stories combine traditional folklore, natural history, urban history, and unadulterated fantasy.
Highlights will come from the creepy and decrepit Worshipful Lord Lunn, the Dragon of old London town; 'The Celestial Lady Yu Lung', the tragic story of a Chinese dragon that is also part fish; and the battle with 'The Lambton Worm', where Jason's retelling of this old English folk tale is influenced by changes in the rewilding and repopulation of Britain's rivers.
Questions are welcomed about the writing, performance, and inspiration behind these stories, but you are also welcome just to sit back and allow yourself to become immersed in stories, presented by this award-winning performance storyteller.
Jason’s wild tales are suitable for adults and those 12+.
