Settle into our Celtic roundhouse for a unique overnight summer solstice experience, and root yourself in an ancient spiritual tradition stretching back to prehistory. Gather around the fire to hear Celtic stories, drumming, and poetry, and experience a deep soundbath with the ancient sound of gongs. As the sun sets on the longest day of the year, connect with your inner worlds and the land around you in our ancient setting.

Connect to the Celtic Other World on an intimate and profound night in our Great Roundhouse, as we’re joined by Woodland Bard Jonathon Huet and historical musician and sound therapist Jez Smith. Through story, music, and meditation, explore the spirituality of the Celts and the significance the summer solstice has held to ancient cultures since time immemorial. Relax, reset, and steady yourself amidst out changing world.
Jonathon Huet, the Woodland Bard, is a nature folklorist, performer, and shaman, connecting people with nature and ancient spirituality since 1998. He retells Celtic stories and poems with a dreamlike, meditative style, and immerses his audiences in the ancient past. Jez Smith is a historical musician with over 35 years’ experience, and a qualified sound therapist who creates sonic experiences that bring together wellbeing, relaxation, and the past.

Please bring your own bedding, including floor mats or cots. We can provide deerskins as an extra layer.
Sleeping in the roundhouse is warmer than a tent, but colder than your home! We recommend dressing sensibly and bringing layers.
We have a toilet block on site but no showering facilities. Please bring a torch in case you need to visit the loo during the night!

Doors open half an hour before the event begins. Please arrive at least fifteen minutes before the event begins to avoid disrupting the performance.

Sorry, but we can’t welcome pets to this event, including dogs. Assistance dogs are of course always welcome!

Please note this event takes place in a historic building featuring an open fire. Air quality is generally good but we can’t guarantee a lack of smoke.

The seating for our events is rustic and includes benches and hay bales. You may wish to bring a blanket or cushion to make your seat more comfortable. We can also add plastic high-backed chairs if required.
